All garments which are supplied by Maiden India are of the highest quality. We take stringent measures to ensure that the items delivered to you are in excellent condition.
However, there is a remote possibility that the item may be damaged during transit; there might be a manufacturing defect; or that an incorrect item is delivered to you by mistake.
1) If you have received a damaged item or if the item you have received was not the item you ordered, please contact us by email or telephone within 24 hours of receipt of the package. It is important that you save all packing materials as well as the item itself.
The item must immediately be returned to us (at our cost), and we will ship a replacement item as soon as possible. If the original ordered item is no longer available, then we will request that you choose an alternate item or we will issue you with a refund.
2) Important & Helpful Guidelines
A) You are welcome to ask all questions regarding colour/ measurements and request pictures of the actual garment, before purchase.
B) Should you experience any issues please email us at info@maidenindia.co.za
C) Timeously report any problems to us within 24 hours of receiving the item in question.
D) Report any and all complications associated with a single order/package delivery at the same time. Be as specific as possible when describing the problem, as all items are examined for defects/ variations prior to dispatch.
E) Always return items using express courier as it was received by you.
F) Please return items within 7 working days of confirmation from us, with original packaging , in the original condition (no worn, washed, used or altered items will be accepted under any circumstances).
G) We will examine the returned garment to determine what went wrong, and take immediate steps to prevent the same problem from reoccurring.
H)As safe delivery to the customer was our responsibility, in the same way, safe return shipping of the product back to us in South Africa is the responsibility of the customer. Should anything occur during transit and the package does not get delivered to us, we cannot be held responsible.
Ensure that correct tracking numbers are sent through along with a copy of the waybill.
I) We do not accept refunds should the customer not approve of the item and wishes to return the product.
3) Most garments are unstitched you will need to have them tailored by your personal stylist for a custom fit.
4) Beads and Sequins missing or disengaging from the fabric:
We assume that customers who order items with sequins and other beaded embroidery are aware of the fact that these shiny embellishments have a tendency to disengage from the fabric while wearing the garment. Even with the best of handling and care this cannot be avoided altogether. Many a times during strict physical checking at customs, during transit, more than usual sequins and beads may come off. It may happen that you open a parcel and find some embellishments falling to the floor, or you wear the garment and in a few hours you might lose some of them. Kindly note that the above aforementioned are not regarded as defective products and will not be considered for a refund.
5) Colour & Description Disclaimer
A) The details of the products or product specifications (eg. weight, colour, handwork details, size, etc.) quoted in the product description are approximate values only.
B) While every endeavour has been made to accurately reproduce the actual garment colour, there may be minor variations in colour because of the nature of fabric dyes, weather at the time of dying and differences in display output due to lighting, digital photography, colour settings and capabilities of monitors and screens.
C) Customers place orders bearing in mind this minor variation in colour as seen on a computer screen against the actual colour of the outfit received may differ. A variation in colour is not regarded as a manufacturing defect.
D) We firmly believe that all the customers who order online are aware that colours seen on a monitor will be slightly different as compared to the actual outfits ordered.
E) A variation in the shade selected by you is considered as a normal practice, as these garments have a tendency to reflect different shades of colour under different light and weather, type of camera used for photography or type and settings on the computer monitor.
F) We wish to clarify that every customer who orders any outfit is aware of this disclaimer. While ordering on the internet, we suggest that customers should be extra careful of the following –
1) Red, maroon and orange colours have a higher tendency to reflect a different shade than other colours. For example even if you yourself try to photograph from a digital camera or scan a red garment, in most of the cases it will show either as maroon or orange on the computer monitor and vice versa. Though imaging technology has advanced, still no fool proof solution to this problem is available at the moment.
2) Many a time, green and blue shades also overlap, as is the case with off white, white and cream colours.
3) Sea Green colours sometimes look Aqua blue and the other way around.
4) Some fabrics like raw silk, khadi silk, cotton silk, south cotton and brocade have a textured effect where we can see the weaving & threads are visible in different directions which is an inherent characteristic or feature of that fabric and proof of its authenticity.
These are not defects. This raw finish is the beauty of these fabrics
5) Handcrafted, hand dyed, hand printed, hand painted, hand embroidered, handloom, hand weaved products will always have minor differences when we compare them as they are not made by machines. Each piece will be unique. Handicraft artisans always try their best to make each piece better than the previous one. So, the product will always have minor variation, keeping the same theme constant in artistic manner. The raw finish of a handcrafted piece cannot be compared with machine finished products as this raw finish is the beauty of the handicrafted item.
By entering into a transaction with MAIDEN INDIA, you, the consumer, accept and fully understand all of the above and below mentioned provisions and notwithstanding the above or any other provisions, MAIDEN INDIA is under no obligation to accept any returns, provide any replacements, exchange or credit items.
MAIDEN INDIA has sole discretion in deciding whether or not to accept a return, depending on the merit of each case.
